His Royal Highness, Oba (Dr.) Augustine Bola Adegunloye, is the Bamunosen of Okesarowo Quarters in Ondo State. Born on August 14, 1948, he was a member of the Celestial Church of Christ until he travelled to Bombay, India to study Vedic Science, Metaphysics, Voodoo and Necromancy. An erstwhile Cadet Inspector with The Nigeria Police, he now runs St. Augustine Healing Home, (1/3, Bola Adegunloye Street, Ile-Epo Bus Stop, Ishoru Estate, Ejigbo, Lagos). Very well respected in his field, people troop to him daily in search of solutions for problems like stroke, madness, diabetes, spiritual attack, HIV I & II, among many others. Unhappy that many of our youths don’t want to be useful to themselves and also to the country, he has this advice for them: “I advice them to come and learn this business. Although there are a lot of people in this field, most of them are fake spiritualists”, he also warned.
The only spiritualist to be sponsored by the Federal Government, they even created a programme for him then on NTA Channel 5 called Cultural Review where he spoke about witchcraft et al. Garnering awards from home and abroad, nothing gives him as much joy as those whom he had treated coming back to appreciate him. “The fact that I heal people and they come back to me to say ‘Daddy, what you did for me worked o’ makes me happy. I have worked for a lot of people. Even pastors come to me…But I don’t want to mention names”.
