All the books I read this year were from great authors and I recommend them to all my readers because they are powerful, interesting, entertaining, insightful and educative. One of those books that didn’t only empower women, but also helped in building great relationship is ‘Mr Wrong’, by Daniella Blechner. Great book.
The list of my 2015 Best Books are from responses to book reviews we published in newspapers, magazines, online, sales and how readers downloaded the free e-copies. Some of these books also won international awards and the authors are also smiling to the bank, with hundreds and thousands of copies sold. I give all glory to God.
Writing about books for 365 days comes with a lot of grace. I thank God for that grace and special thanks to all my readers. You guys are the best and you made the best of ToluBooks. Year 2016 books are on my book shelf already. I can’t wait to start reading and writing reviews for these new books. You need to see the covers, so alive and captivating.
Merry Christmas and a splendid New Year to all my authors and readers all over the world. Let us do it again in Year 2016. Thank you so much guys!

BEST BOOK TITLE WITH A MOVIE
God’s Not Dead, by Harold Cronk, a Christian film that shows the challenges most believers are facing in this world and how a young college boy stood his grounds to prove the existence of God. April 1st 2016, God’s Not Dead 2 will be in theatres. Can’t wait to see it. The book, God’s Not Dead: Evidence for God in an Age of Uncertainty, by Rice Broocks, is a wonderful and insightful book that you should read before the end of this year or next year.
BEST UNITED KINGDOM AUTHOR
A Fly Girl, by Amanda Epe, is my favourite book from my United Kingdom authors. It’s an autobiography that talks about the life of Amanda, at British Airways. Amanda created a perfect graphic pictures of all her trips to different parts of the world. While reading, I saw myself with her moving from one country to another. Why I love A FLY GIRL is because of the stories and how she overcame her challenges.
BEST TRIBUTE BOOK
The Living. Myles Munroe’s transition to glory, came as a shock to the world last year. He is popularly known for his messages on PURPOSE. I have read and listened to a few of his messages that helped me discover my purpose in life. One of those books is “The Principles and Power of Vision”. I listen to his audio message on relationship always. Powerful word! E-mail me if you need the message.
BEST BUSINESS BOOK
Performance Without Compromise, by Charles F. Knight with Davis Dyer, is a manual for all CEOs and entrepreneurs who want to stay long in business and succeed. The amount of right knowledge that will jump at you while reading will keep you locked down by the book. Charles and Davis shared the golden secrets that had been with the company for one hundred and sixty years. It will be good if you make the book your business book for the new year. The principle works everywhere.
BEST MONEY BOOK
There are some books you think you will read immediately you have them, but something will just happen along the line that would make the book sleep all weeks, months and years on your bookshelf. The Law of Wealth, by Iheanyi Ejiogu, was that kind of book for me. What I learnt from the book when I finally picked it up to read comes new to me every day. Not all MONEY BOOKS will teach you what can be taught for millions of Naira with just thousands of Naira. The laws in the book are very practical and simple to work with.
BEST AUDIO MESSAGE ON MONEY
I listened to this audio message by Pastor Sam Adeyemi for two months, The Principles of Money. The message changed my mind set about money, I stopped praying for money after I finished listening to it. You will do the same because the grace to act on the things the speaker shared will come on you; you will be empowered to move. He said something about savings and ideas; how they both work together to make your idea a reality.
BEST VIDEO BOOK
I had heard about it while in Sunday school, a story of young man that his name was associated with pain. Recently, a friend told me how powerful this book is and how it worked for her, but that didn’t pick my interest until another Muslim friend asked me to get the book, The Prayer of Jabez, by Bruce Wilkinson for her. That was when I went in search of the book, but what I got was the video. The anchor of the book and video is from 1 Chronicles 4 vs. 10 that says: “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.” You need to read the book or watch the video. It will minister to you.
BEST CHRISTIAN BOOK
God’s Not Mad At You, by Joyce Meyer. It is the book that broke the fear and opened me up to the truth about what God is saying about my sin and His heart towards me. The word of God says, you shall know the truth and that same truth will set you free. It’s your time to walk out of doubt, worries, fear and step into God’s purpose for your life. This book helped me and millions of people I recommended it to. It’s your time to be FREE. Get a copy. I did a video review of the book with my friend, Deji, you can check it out on YouTube.
BEST QUOTE FROM BOOK
“Do unto others as you will want them to do unto you”, from John C. Maxwell’s book ‘ETHICS 101’. It’s called the golden rule and I am living by it.
BEST NIGERIAN AUTHOR
Olawale Perfect Lawal is a good writer. I read all his books this year and it was a blessing. All the readers I recommended his book to testify to the powerful insight they got from the book, ‘Be Careful What You Called Impossible’. The book has sold more than ten thousand copies and is still selling without the help of any marketer or any publisher. Just by word of mouth and grace.
BEST BOOK IDEA
Recently, my friend, Doyin Sadiq, the head of Corporate Affairs Unit of Courteville Business Solution Plc, came up with this brilliant idea that is not common in any corporate environment or in our nation (Nigeria). A book club for the staff of the organization called “A Book A Month”, where interested members of the company come together once a month to discuss a selected book.
BEST UNITED STATES AUTHOR
This book is not just my Best Book From The United States, it’s also my Best Book for the year 2015, ‘Outliers’, by Malcolm Gladwell. It will be a crime if this book is not on my Top List of BEST 2015 Books. The author doesn’t just write to inform, he writes to entertain and to let you know about history. Among other things I enjoyed from the book is where he talked about the principle of 10,000 hours. Some of the successful people around me practice and share this same rule.
