For young and beautiful Adejoke Shomoye, the revitalization of the Yoruba tradition, especially the Yoruba language, is very paramount. A freelance media practitioner, Shomoye had gone a step further by launching Ewa Ede Caty Foundation. The event, which coincided with her tenth year of freelance journalism, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, on Sunday, March 30, 2014. Aside the launch of the foundation, a 2-in-1 album was also unveiled, titled Ewa Ede and Egba Dotun. Guests at the glamorous event included the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, Oba Fatai Akamo, the Olu of Itori, members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, including Hon. Adijat Adeleye, Bolaji Amusan (Mr Latin), Habib Ajayi, Afolabi Afuape, a former Secretary to Abeokuta South LG and Political Adviser to the former Speaker, Hon. Rasak Adewusi. The Governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, Chief Segun Osoba and Chief Gani Adams were represented by Chief Sina Williams, Chief (Mrs.) Ogunyemi, the Iyaloja of Kemta Abeokuta, Hon. Adekunle Adeyemi and Alhaji Muse, the OPC Governor of the state respectively.
