The new fuel price of N145 announced by the Federal Government has the support of AMAA Awards founder, Ms. Peace Anyiam-Osigwe. Taking to her Facebook page not long after the announcement was made, she asked Nigerians to quit being hypocrites, embrace the new price and even went further to say that had ex-President Goodluck Jonathan taken the same action, perhaps he will still be in power today.
Below is what she said, unedited…
Let’s stop the hypocrisy since December fuel has been trading at between150-350 Naira per litre and we have been buying we curse but we buy, so now they say anyone who can import can sell as far not above 145 Naira. Even during occupy Nigeria I thought the cabals on subsidy should be stopped. Fellow Nigerian have joy in your heart because you have been freed from slavery to a set of greedy business men. Now is the time we will find out if there is a citizen called a Nigerian or we are still tribal in our mental attitude, Fuel can sell well below the 86 Naira if we had our reserves but the Cabal bled us dry and the drought came, Now you blame the Fulani man from Duara, because he finally said I cannot be held hostage by this Cabal that held GEJ in bondage, if GEJ had told the cabal do your worst in 2012 he would still be president, this same Cabal shared money and never put money in the centre for the PDP party to even win the last election, they took the dollars and bought houses etc, this Cabal are Nigerians, they belong to all tribes, they are APC,PDP,LABOUR,APGA etc they come in all colours shapes and sizes, The Lord has set us free, let us be glad and rejoice in him. Let true Nigerians arise and set up refineries, import fuel and sell ,competition begins and the shrouded wealth of a few begins crumbling as now no free money. Long Live Nigeria, thank you Lord. For setting my people free from bondage. It will be hard for a while but smile we shall. Maybe one day I will tell my fathers story about the 8 oil majors who stole Nigeria’s wealth buying our crude for $5 a barrel when it was $11 dollars a barrel, dear David Cameron that was your Oyibo countries cheating Nigeria oh,like I said my father brought this disparity to the Notice of this same terrible Dictator PMB? and he immediately ordered we be paid the right price. PMB is not everyone’s cup of coffee but you know good coffee by the aroma. Let the stack of cards keep tumbling very soon we will know if there is a country called Nigeria or if Nigerians exist. Defined by Greed.
