The Nigerian hospitality industry is set for a big boost with the commissioning of a new outfit, Anjiez Royal Suites, in a serene part of Ikeja, the Lagos State capital. The new 15-room hotel is the brain child of a big player in the real estate sector, Mr. Owolabi Jaiyesimi. Jaiyesimi, who is also the Managing Director of Legacy Properties Ltd, said the idea behind the hotel is to fill the gap that has been identified in the Nigerian hospitality industry. According to him: “Having travelled to major cities in Africa, Europe and America, I have come to acknowledge the fact that there is a big gap to be filled in the area of service quality in our hospitality industry and that is what Anjiez Royal Suites has come to redefine. Our staff were carefully selected and trained in order to be able to offer the kind of service that will encourage our guests and patrons to come again and again. That is why our pay-off line is Hospitality Redefined”. Anjiez Royal Suites is located on Allen Avenue, by Alade market. It boasts of uninterrupted power supply, wireless internet/cable internet access. Then, 24-hour laundry service. There is also satellite TV and 24-hour room service, with bar and lounge. On security, Mr. Jaiyesimi said the security situation in the country influenced the choice of location and this is complemented with well trained security guards who provide 24-hour effective security. Commenting on the uniqueness of the rooms, Mrs. Adebunmi Jaiyesimi, wife of the chairman of Anjiez Royal Suites said, “all our rooms are customized; no two rooms are the same. The naming of our rooms depicts the appearance of the rooms. We have room names such as Olive, Marigold, Sunflower, Violet, Zinnia and Rose Red, just to mention a few. The idea behind customization of the rooms is to give a feel of “HOME away from HOME”, bearing in mind that all human beings are unique”. Declaring the outfit open, Pastor Ernest Edgar of The Present Truth Ministry, commended the entrepreneurial spirit of Mr. Jaiyesimi and enjoined him not to give up, despite the economic challenges in the country. Among the dignitaries who graced the event were fuji music exponent, Abass Akande Obesere, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Mr. Akeem Awe, former Chairman, Island Club, Lagos, Mr. Ladipo Awe, Chairman, Solitude Hotel, Chief (Mrs) Bisi Adeleye and several others.
