Tony Okechukwu Nwoye, a medical doctor and member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Anambra East/West constituency has secured the nod of All Progressives Congress (APC) to fly the party’s flag in the November 18, 2017 governorship election in Anambra State.
He polled 2146 votes to beat his closest rival and former boss, Senator Andy Uba who garnered 931 votes.
The incumbent Governor, Chief Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano, had sometime in August secured the ticket of APGA while Chief Osita Chidoka bagged that of UPP. Godwin Ezeemo is the PPA candidate. All eyes are now on PDP whose own will hold on August 27.
