Immediate-past Inspector of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has fired back at his successor, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, insisting that he didn’t leave office with 24 police vehicles.
Arase, who has been in London since leaving office, where he went to witness his son’s graduation, stated on Monday, July 18, 2016 that rather that going on a smear campaign, Idris should have first gone through his hand over notes or contacted him before making the wild allegation.
In his words: ‘I suspect there must be a disconnect somewhere because every information needed by my successor is provided in my hand over notes. I’m also not aware that any letter was written to me because if there was any dropped in my house, someone would have alerted me.
‘It’s unfortunate that this matter is being made a media issue because my successor has my telephone number and could have called me for any clarification or even sent me a text message rather than addressing the media on an issue well documented in my hand over notes’.
YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine, however, gathered from a reliable source that there is more to the shocking allegation than meets the eyes. ‘Just watch what direction the drama, the alarming drama, goes in the next few day’, our source ended.
