Gospel Tungba music creator, Yinka Ayefele, MON, made his presence known at the annual Notting Hill Carnival in London weeks back when he used a masquerade to create awareness for his radio station, Fresh FM. Ayefele, who was accompanied to London by his Publicist and Director, Corporate Affairs and Promotions of Fresh FM, Mr. David Ajiboye, said the move was to be distinct and different from other fun seekers at the carnival.
“I just looked at what we can do differently that will make us attract fun seekers at the carnival and the idea of using a masquerade costume with the name of our station inscribed on it came to my mind. It actually worked because a lot of people were coming to take pictures and make inquiry about the station. We run a global station that can be listened to anywhere in the world, that’s why you see us in London using the Notting Hill platform to spread the good news about the station”, Ayefele explained.
Meanwhile, the station which commenced full commercial broadcasting recently, gave out new Hyundai cars to eight of its staff. According to Ajiboye, the Chairman, Ayefele, in fulfilling his promise to the staff, gave out new 2015 model Hyundai cars to some of his staff.
“The Chairman, today, fulfilled his promise to provide mobility to some staff of the Fresh FM by giving out four new 2015 Grand Xcent Hyundai cars, one Hyundai Accent, one Hyundai Elantra, one Ford Edge (SUV) and one Toyota Highlander (SUV)”.
He also presented the entire staff a Hyundai H1 model staff bus for their use. It will be recalled that the Federal Government approved the license of Fresh FM in April, seven years after the license was applied for.
