MSMG/Bee-Invisible Entertainment, in collaboration with Royal Entertainment, has released the new single from Abdulmalik Usman, aka Abdulala, entitled Shegege (move your waist), featuring Nuzak. Shegege, a dance made famous by African ladies displaying waist-moving skills, is being celebrated in this new song. Abdulala, who is set to kick off 2015, after having a strong outing in 2014 with his debut singles, Bamidele, an afro-R’n’B song featuring multiple award winner, 2Face Idibia and the afro beat dance floor filler, Nugo is currently embarking on a solo career under the guidance of MSMG/Bee-Invisible Entertainment. Abdulala came into limelight at a very young age as one half of the defunct Nigerian vocal group, BlackTribe.
Royal Entertainment is owned by Lagos business man, Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo, also the CEO, Kazeem Royal Properties. “It is now also about making music that people can dance and have fun to, as well as teaching new fans about our African culture whilst reminding old fans of what makes us who we are. Shegege fits exactly that purpose. It’s a song I made to encourage waist movement in the clubs, parties and on the dance floors as a tribute to our African women. I couldn’t wait to share it with afro beat lovers around the world”, Abdullala told us. Shegege was produced by Sage Kwality.
