Broken, a movie from film-maker, Bright Wonder, has continued to soar.
Bright Wonder, a Computer Science graduate of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Imo State has a tall dream and never compromises standards whenever and wherever the issue of film-making is involved. Highly unpretentious and hugely respected, the 33-year old amiable producer/director of the widely acclaimed thriller, Broken, which starred Nse Ikpe-Etim, Kalu Ike Agwu, Bimbo Manuel and Iyke Adiele, has always been of the opinion that filmmaking should be such that is constantly used as channels of check mating and underscoring the ills and irregularities in our society. Broken premiered on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Silverbird Entertainment Center, Abuja and was a huge success. It was nominated in six categories at the recently held Nollywood Movies Awards: “Best Actor In Lead Role”, “Best Cinematography”, “Best Make-Up”, “Best Rising Star” and ”Best Supporting” – male/female categories. Broken is also among the officially selected films by the organizers of Eko International Film Festival (EKOIFF), dubbed Nigeria’s leading International Film Festival, which is currently in its fourth edition and will be running from November 18 to 23. Plans have also been concluded for the official DVD release of Broken before the year runs out.
