Valentine is a time of love, not just carnal love, but it is love that is rooted in love for others, especially the less privileged ones. It is a time we should let our love have a touch and our faith a voice! In Nigeria, Valentine’s day will simply mean a day everybody will be security conscious and stand on true alert because it is an election day and no one truly knows how things will turn out. Go and vote and go home.
Kayode Salako (Activist)
This year’s Valentine’s day is a day to show love to Nigeria and not only one’s spouse. So, Nigeria is going to be sharing from the show of love in this year’s Valentine celebration. It is the day Nigerians are going to prove it whether they love their country or not. It is the day Nigerians are going to either liberate their country in a show of love with their votes and a resolution to make it count or not. My wife and I have decided to go and show that love to Nigeria first in the early part of the day. And show it to each other in the latter part. If Nigerians are indeed serious about changing the situation of their country, they must all troop out on February 14 to show love to our nation first, before ourselves. On this note, the only plan I have for this Valentine’s day is to go and show love to Nigeria first by taking part in the electioneering process and later in the evening, I hang out with my wife to share nice time in celebration of the unique affection we share! So, this Valentine is going to be spent more to show love to my wife, Foluke and Nigeria! On Fe-Buhari 14, I am showing love to Nigeria by voting for change in the celebration of Valentine.
Whitney Wonders (Singer)
I have a show that day. I will be performing at a birthday party.
