Drama at Redeemed Church: TOP PASTORS ADMIT FORNICATING AND STEALING CHURCH OFFERING – ADEBOYE SHOCKED
There was a mild drama at the first Holy Ghost Service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for 2015, at the Redemption Camp, Km 46, Lagos – Ibadan Express Way, Ogun State, on Friday, January 2, 2015. The drama began after the monthly congress with the theme: The Burden Bearer. Immediately after the service, Daddy G.O, as Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the leader of the church is fondly called, summoned all the ministers and pastors to a private meeting. After the normal new year greetings and appreciation, the servant of God knelt down in front of the entire ministers and ordered them to pray for his death in 3 months if he had anything to do with the challenges that had been bedeviling the church of recent. They thought he was joking, because it was a strange thing to ask someone to pray for your death. So, none of them obeyed him. But when he insisted, they all obeyed. After praying for about 10 minutes, he stopped them and turned to them; then the real drama started. Daddy G.O thundered, ” If you know as a minister you have been indulging in these three things: fornication, idolatry and falsification of the church’s account, please come out because this is the time for restitution”. There was general silence. No one wanted to bell the cat, so he gave them time to think, reflect and take their decision. He also told them that after that grace, anyone who had indulged in those things and refused to come out would have the same fate as what he had asked them to do for him (death in the next 3 months). Then, he backed them. Before he turned, many Provincial, Area and Parish Pastors as well as Ordained Deacons and Deaconess trooped out for restitution! Leaving him so shocked and dumbfounded. Many disturbing reports had gotten to the G.O on how some of these his subordinates indulge in fornication, idolatry and falsification of the financial reports of the most populous Pentecostal church in West Africa. Which he just confirmed with their last meeting. The prodigal pastors, of course, were asked to go and sin no more after their restitution.
