Former Abia State Governor and the publisher of The Sun Newspaper , Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, was on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 re-arraigned in Abuja by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Kalu who appeared before Justice Anwuri Chikere was slammed with a 34-count charge bordering on fraud, alongside his company, Slok Nigeria Limited and his then Commissioner for Finance, Jones Udeogo.
They were specifically accused of diverting N3.2 billion belonging to Abia people, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The case has now been adjourned to December 6 for trial.
