The cat is finally out of the bag; the waiting game and the suspense have also come to an end. President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers-to-be have been unmasked – and truth be told, the names are not too different from the ones we’ve been hearing. Some of them, in fact, YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine, had told you about in the past.
A peep into the list submitted by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Senate Matters, Sen. Ita Enang, to the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, yesterday, revealed the following names: Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, Rotimi Amaechi, Chris Ngige and Kayode Fayemi, all ex-Governors.
Then, Udo Udoma and Hadi Sirika, both former Senators, Aisha Alhassan and Adebayo Shittu, both erstwhile governorship candidates, Malami Abubakar, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kemi Adeosun, one time Commissioner in Ogun State, Lai Mohammed, APC’s Spokesperson, Amina Mohammed of the MDG fame and Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, who already oversees NNPC as the Group Managing Director. With Buhari already confirmed as the Minister of Petroleum, Kachikwu may serve as his junior Minister.
Of course, these are not all the names already submitted or even slated for ministerial positions. So, as more names get us we shall be keeping you posted. Likewise the likely portfolios they will handle.
