Popular actress and business woman, Halima Abubakar, has described her recent row with a fan on a social network, twitter, as nothing but a normal thing which could happen to anyone regardless of her status.
The Kogi State-born actress who just concluded a movie; The mistresses, centred on relationships and marriage and featuring artistes like Yvonne Nelson, Sylvia Nduka, Ex-MBGN, Moyo Lawal,Mary Uranta, Ruth Kadiri and Bobby Micheal, used an ‘f’ word on a twitter follower that kept pestering her.
When the award winning actress declined again, the fan tweeted at her: “Why forming for me nah? Follow me back, you don’t want to. Don’t you know that I am your sister?
“Who you be self? You fine reach Tonto, or my queen, Mercy Johnson? You this shortie, you expired maggot.”
Breaking the golden rule of silence, Halima fired back, “I am nothing, but you followed me. Go f*ck yourself.”
This didn’t stop here as the fan responded, “I followed you because I want to be seeing your mess up. You this godiga (gold digger, I guess the fan meant), smelling ‘ascrimate’. Go f*ck yourself, you this public toilet.”
Halima continued, “And hey expired? You mean your pus*y? Bit*h, I am not 30 yet. So, hey, hop on a d*ck and do a full split.”
It became an eyesore to some of her followers that they had to remind her of her status as a celeb. One of her fans told her that she should have remained silent on the issue. She later tweeted, “I have been bullied all my life! I am done.”
When we called her on Thursday, August 2, 2012, to know why she went that far with a fan on a social media, she demanded that we should send a text message which we did and the reply she gave was: “Twitter can be fun. Too many people who think they can always say all and sleep well abound there… didn’t expect it, but was being cool until I got sleepy lol.
Celebs are humans, am not a celeb lol. Am an actress and a business woman. I love my fans very well, but need love too…that’s all”.
