Born on July 24, 1964 (at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba), Clarion, YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine gathered, is of mixed parentage – her accountant father, John, was from Onitsha, Anambra State and her midwife mother, Christiana, from Abeokuta, Ogun State. She attended All Saints Primary School, Lagos, Queen of Our Rosary College, Onitsha and the Universities of Ibadan and Ife where she bagged her Diploma and Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts. Landing her debut acting role in 1979, courtesy Bode Sowande’s Odu, her first major break, however, came from Wale Ogunyemi’s play, Farewell to Babylon.
In 1982, while starring alongside Sir Shina Peters in Ola Balogun’s Money Power, they fell in love and the result of their short-lived romance is Clarence Peters. Moving on, the Mirror in the Sun star married Tunde Abiola and later Femi Odunneye, aka Femi Egypian. Inspired by Liz Taylor, Clarion who at some point also dated Jide Omidiran has in her movie kit flicks like True Confession, Intimate Strangers, Never Again, The Gold Diggers, Amin Orun, Angels and Jokotade. A mother of two, her second son, Bode, came in 1996 – and for her late husband, Tunde Abiola. And now, Anthony Boyd, her husband No. 3.
