Shine Out Nigeria, a Bliz Music initiative aimed at discovering young and talented artistes in all the genres of music has just debuted. Ikenna Ogudu, aka IK Vegas and his partner, Rodney Ogagba, joint owners of a leading fun spot in Lagos, Vegas Entertainment Limited, a company they established in 2011, are music lovers and businessmen. They have therefore decided to use this platform to nurture young and promising artistes to achieve their dreams of becoming stars. The two philanthropists just came up with a dedicated and trustworthy team to run the show: Stella Ebegbune, popularly known as D’Lyte (Atupa), a songwriter and musician; Idris Saibu, a director and cinematographer and Anthony “Teddy” Chigbo, the managing director of Bliz Music. The star prize is a brand new Hyundai excel; then N500,000 for first runner-up and N300,000 for the second runner up. All the three finalists will have a year record deal, free of charge, with Bliz Music. People between the ages of 15 – 35 are eligible to participate and it is going to be a yearly event, with the auditions starting in Lagos, on Monday, November 25, 2013.
