Star Music’s 10-week, 10-city pan-Nigerian concert ended on Saturday, May 31, 2014, on a spectacular note with super star artistes, 2Face,Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Phyno and many others bringing the sensational concert to a dramatic close. The Grand Finale which held at Eagles Club, Surulere, Lagos saw Nigeria’s finest artistes, Wande Coal, Kcee, Harrysong, Sean Tizzle and May D, mounting the elaborate Star Music Trek stage, thrilling thousands of music fans who thronged the venue to watch scintillating performances from their favourite stars.Comic duo, Gbenga Adeyinka and Laff Up, hosted the over eight hour event living up to prime billing as they effortlessly dazzled the eager audience with their eclectic styles. Pop legend, 2Face Idibia gave Lagos fans an unforgettable experience with his royal entrance and phenomenal performance of his hit singles, including True Love, Nfana Ibaga, If Love Is A Crime, African Queen and many more. His duet with gyration master, now lawmaker, Hon. Tony One Week on Ife Di Nma, left the audience wild with excitement. Star Music Trek 2104 only female headliner, Tiwa Savage, made another grand entrance on a power bike to the amazement of thousands who gathered to watch her. She went on to deliver the most captivating performance seen from the pop diva yet, singing KeleKele Love, Ileke, Eminado while collaborating with Traffic and Mavin Records colleagues, Aphrodija, Reekado Banks, Korede Roberts to perform Quality over Quantity and Dorobucci respectively. Kcee rewarded an ardent Star Music Trek fan, Marvelous Ikechukwu with $200, whom he recognized as having been at every city he performed. Dressed in gold-studded all black ensemble, he was joined by fellow 5-Star Music artiste, Harrysong to perform Limpopo and Pull Over before setting up his notable dance competition. Wande Coal went retro, taking fans back to his Mo Hits days with tracks such as Bumper To Bumper, You Bad, Kiss Your Hands and Taboo. He also performed recently released Rotate, Sexcellency, The Kick and Baby Hello. Sean Tizzle continued in Santa Claus mode from Ado Ekiti, giving out jewelry and cash while performing Loke Loke. Mr. May D never forgets his roots as a dancer, always ensuring fans get a double dose during his performances. He performed Sound Trak and You Gat Me High to the teeming audience. Phyno showed that he is not just the king of the East, but dominates the West as well as fans rapped enthusiastically to Alobam, Parcel, Kush, Ghost Mode and O Set. Olamide made a surprise entrance to deliver an exceptional performance with Phyno on Ghost Mode and Dope Money. He went on to give one of the most talked about performances of the night from his popular tracks, including Stupid Love, Durosoke, Anifowose, Turn Up, among many others.
