In an era where Nollywood movies are no longer selling like before, thus giving producers and practitioners nightmares, Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) and African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMBCA) winner, Ivie Okujaye, has told all and sundry that she is going to change that with her debut movie as a producer, Make A Move. The movie will be released in the cinemas nationwide from Friday, June 6, 2014. Make A Move is the story of two sisters who found dance as an escape route from a non-pleasant past. Stars like 2Face Idibia, Omawumi Megbele, Majid Michel, Tina Mba, Wale Adebayo, Ivie Okujaye, Beverly Naya and popular OAP, Derenle Edun are all starring in it. The director is Niyi Akinmolayan. According to Ivie, “Make A Move is the kind of story every young person can relate to. It is a story on self-belief and fight against unfavourable environment. It is told in a way that shows commitment to excellence and attention to details. It is pure entertainment and inspiration from the word go”. Another actor in the movie, Wale Adebayo, popularly known to as Sango, said Make A Movie is one movie that will swell the heart of every young African with the determination to succeed. “I have done a number of movies, but I think Make A Move will rank as one of the best I have done as an actor. The attention to details by the production crew is commendable. The story line and technical details the producer chose to be committed to belie her age. This is something I think every young person will be proud of. Ivie has done her generation proud. I believe her when she says the movie is setting new cinema and box office records. I am definitely proud of her”. Make A Move will be released nationwide on June 6, 2014 after an elaborate premiere.
