A measure of relief has just come the way of Nigeria’s immediate-past Chief of Defence, AVM Alex Badeh – as a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja and presided over by Justice Okon Abang granted him bail in the sum of N2 billion, with two sureties in the sum of N1 billion each.
The 59 year old Adamawa-born 4-star General was however ordered to deposit his international passport with the court. He must also not travel out of the country until the court decrees otherwise.
Badeh, it would be recalled, was allegedly involved in the now very messy $2.2 billion Dasukigate. And prior to securing today’s bail which was yet to be perfected as at the time of writing this had been complaining about ill health.
