The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede has praised Nigeria’s fully integrated telecommunications service provider, Globacom for its robust support for the immigration service in its effort to achieve maximal operational efficiency, using technology.
Babandede who stated this at the opening ceremony of the 2017 edition of the Comptroller General of Immigration Annual Conference held at the Mitros Residences and Suites, Abeokuta on Thursday noted that Globacom and the other corporate sponsors of the Conference had helped to facilitate a strategic brainstorm guaranteed to design solutions to daunting challenges confronting the Service.
He urged the telecommunications company and other lovers of Nigeria to continue to support such initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency and productivity.
The conference was co-sponsored by Globacom and it attracted the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, his Deputy, Yetunde Onanuga, former president, Olusegun Obasanjo and the Chairman of the House Committee on Interior, Adams Jagaba, among other dignitaries.
In a brief presentation at the conference, Acting Coordinator, Public Sector Sales, Mansur Opakunle, lauded the service for organizing the strategic session, adding that it would no doubt help to position the service to surmount emerging challenges.
