In its determination to broaden the coverage of the State-owned Television (OGTV) across the country, the Ogun State Government is set to establish a booster transmission station in Isheri area of the State.
The State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun made this known during an unscheduled visit to OGTV, to assess the effectiveness of the newly installed transmitter.
The Governor said the step was part of his administration’s plan to upgrade the station in line with the latest trend of global digital broadcasting.
According to him, “technology has taken over the whole world and OGTV cannot afford to be left behind, but rather, move with the latest trend. The proposed booster transmission station at Isheri is to complement the newly installed transmitter and also boost its coverage nationwide.”
The State Commisioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Adedayo Adeneye, however expressed optimism that in no time, OGTV channel would be viewed in every part of Nigeria.
In the Governor’s entourage was Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr Afolabi Afuape and his counterpart in Special Duties, Barr. Leke Adewolu
