Information reaching GP has it that Ayo Olubori, the Commissioner for Environment, has lost favor with Governor Ibikunle Amosun. Reason being that Olubori was said to have protested his being moved from the Ministry of Forestry to Environment, which he currently oversees. A bird in the know whispered to GP that the Commissioner, unknown to him, was being groomed to take over from Amosun in 2019, as he is from the Ogun West Senatorial district and is quite popular in the region, which is Yewa Awori. According to our source, Olubori was said to have registered his discontent when he was moved and the information got to His Excellency who almost sacked the Commissioner, but for pleadings and appeals from elders and leaders of the party. Notwithstanding, Olubori remains a force to be reckoned with in the cabinet of Amosun as his colleagues in the exco are still routing for his emergence when the time eventually comes for a Yewa man to become Governor.
