At last, the original body of the Lagos doctor who jumped into lagoon on Sunday, February 20, 2017 has been recovered.
Dr. Allwell Orji, while driving in the evening of Sunday, on Third Mainland Bridge, suddenly asked his driver to pull over, alighted from the vehicle, a gray Nissan Xterra, and within a twinkle of an eye jumped into the lagoon, where of course he drowned.
The Lagos State Emergency Agency, LASEMA, alongside local divers, were immediately drafted to the scene and for days they battled without luck to retrieve his remains.
In fact, many hours before the discovery of the original body, another had been discovered which the family after thorough scrutiny said wasn’t theirs.
Then today, at about 4pm, the Marine Police found the original, which the late doctor’s family also confirmed. Likewise Lagos State Police Commissioner, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, who equally condoled the family.
Tales, meanwhile, abound that all wasn’t well with Allwell. Which perhaps explains his queer action.
