The second edition of the Social Media Week Lagos, which hosted Africa’s largest social media gathering and lasted a total of 5 days, from February 17-21, 2014, was filled with exciting activities ranging from social media marketing to entertainment and technology. The Passnownow.com event will surely be remembered as one of the high points of activities that happened during the media week. Organized to bring to the fore the importance of technology and how it’s being used to empower and educate Nigerian secondary school students, it was attended by students, teachers, stake holders and some dignitaries in the social media business, education and technology sectors. Another high point of the event was the official launching of the Passnownow App by Mrs. Roseline Ilori, Country Manager of MTECH Communications. She equally did a demo to show participants how the Education Mobile App works. The Passnownow App was designed by the MTECH Team and is available for Android users at the moment. Other platforms such as the Blackberry App store, Java, Microsoft, etc will be able to download the App on their mobile phones in a few weeks.
