The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has warned his pastors on accountability and stewardship. The respected man of God admonished all those that may be involved in dishonest practices in the church to desist from such or face the wrath of God. In a letter conveyed to all the workers, specific instructions were handed to all the pastors to be more accountable in their dealings; most especially in handling the church’s money. During the church’s monthly account remittance exercise, so many financial discrepancies are usually noticed. And this has sometimes led to suspension of the pastors involved. YES International! gathered that on different occasions, Daddy G.O, as he is fondly called, had sent warning letters that he will no longer tolerate that. Now, of course, appears to be the time for action. On stewardship, he urged them to be responsible for their flocks and also take good care of them. He said they should always teach their members how to use their time, talents, material possessions or wealth for the service of God; utilize and manage all the resources God has provided for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation and again behave in a manner that honours God and impacts eternity. Citing the parable of the talents in Mathew 25:14-30, he asked them to be fervent in their prayers and observe to the fullest the current 100 days fasting and prayer going on in RCCG worldwide. Pastor Adeboye who added another year recently marked it (73rd birthday) quietly in his room and refused to be dragged into any celebration.
