The Presidency has said it is unaware of any plans to arrest ex-President Goodluck Jonathan upon his return from abroad by any of the security agencies.
Speaking exclusively to YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine hours ago on the raging issue, presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, told this magazine that there is ‘no information on the matter’.
The social media, it would be recalled, had been abuzz with the news of the impending arrest of the immediate-past President over multiple allegations of corruption running into billions of Naira.
Jonathan, according to the story, is yet to return to the country almost two months after jetting out. His first port of call was New York, in the United States of America. From there, he crossed over to London, where he spent some time with his children and now he’s alleged to be in Côte d’Ivoire, on asylum, and waiting for things to die down before returning.
