What a shameful way to die – a top civil servant with the Institute of Local Government Administration and his banker mistress recently died in ‘active service’. The man’s first name is Biodun and the woman, Gbemi. The latter worked with Union Bank and the ugly incident occurred on Olokodana Street in Ebute Metta, Lagos.
YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine gathered that the man had lied to his wife (Elizabeth) that he was going to celebrate Sallah with his aged mother in Badagry only to end up at the guest house with his mistress. Both of them had obviously swung into action soon after exchanging pleasantries, kissing and smooching and then died in the process.
Apparently, the mistress, who is married, must have been laced with Magun (Thunderbolt) by her husband who had been inundated with stories of his wife’s extra marital affairs. Which may have necessitated their death. It, however, took some days before their decomposing bodies could be found. And by what time they had started emitting a foul smell and odour.
Meanwhile, before this time, the man’s wife had become so worried that she travelled to Badagry to see her mother in law who told her that her husband never visited, contrary to the story he dropped at home while going for his rendezvous of no return. The matter was also reported at several police stations until eventually their corpses were discovered in the guest house.
The top civil servant who lived life to the hilt has been buried. But the story and its many versions are still spreading and trending in Ebute Metta and its environs. The mistress used to work with the Balogun, Lagos branch of the bank. A flamboyant dresser, her husband, surprisingly, is also said to be a banker!
