The sixth edition of the much-awaited Walk Against Rape has once more gotten a nod from various celebrities who just signed up as ambassadors for the initiative. Among them are Mercy Aigbe, Toke Makinwa, Toolz, Timi Dakolo, Waje, Bolanle Olukanni, Adekunle Gold, Harrysong, Kcee, OC Ukeje, Joseph Benjamin, Annie Idibia, Desmond Elliot, Femi Adebayo, YQ, Joel, Vector, MI, Ice Prince, DJ Caise, Kehinde Bankole, Ini Edo, Susan Peters, Seyi Law, Dayo Amusa, Japheth Omojuwa, Olorisupergal, Niniola, Immaculate, Jaywon, Toni Payne, Gbemi, Azuka Ogujiuba, Ill Bliss, Chidinma , MC Shakara, Senator, Funny Bone, Ajebo, Ushbabe, Pencil and Akpororo.
Walk Against Rape campaign is a special demonstration that brings together mothers, fathers, guardians, teachers, youth advocates, social activists, actors, actresses, sports men, media practitioners, musicians, DJs, comedians, youth organizations, showbiz personalities and student delegates from various higher institutions and secondary schools around Lagos State to lend a voice to sexually abused persons (particularly women and children), and also show their support to the cause of bringing an end to RAPE in Nigeria where the number of rape cases is on the increase.
According to the National Coordinator, Esther Ijewere- Kalejaiye, “Our aim is to help in encouraging victims to speak out and reduce the stigmatization attached to the victims of sexual abuse and rape as well as use “Walk Against Rape” as a platform to inform the society about the soaring scourge of sexual abuse, especially as it relates to young girls and women in general. The walk will be held in Ondo, Edo, Delta and Oyo States this year as well”. In endorsing the initiative, here are some quotes from some of the Celebrity Ambassadors:

The walk is slated for the 10th of March. It starts from the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church ground and ends at the Ministry of Women Affairs, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
