His name is Jude Okechukwu, but he is widely known as Judex or Odenjinji. A native of Mbosi in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, the multi-millionaire businessman died in his 40s, some years back, leaving behind an empire that has continued to decay and deteriorate. Including his once-upon-a-time beautiful country home. In fact, weeds have taken over the entire place.
Judex, an associate of the late Victor Okafor, aka Ezego (king of money), while he was alive, had the chieftaincy title of Nwarupuoaku (the child who uncovered wealth). And just like Ezego, late highlife music king, Oliver de Coque, equally sang his praises in Biri Ka Mbiri (Live and Let’s Live) as one of the Nnukwu nmanwus (big masquerades).
The beefy and diminutive businessman who used to run Judex Foam and Jude Batteries died suddenly, leaving behind all he had accumulated. The story in town now is that his country home and co got abandoned by his family members because he allegedly belonged to a secret society.
