The Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of YES INTERNATIONAL! magazine, Azuh Arinze, was on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at De Renaissance Hotel, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos decorated as one of the maiden NDLEA Celebrity Ambassadors. Azuh, equally an FRSC Celebrity Special Marshal and Lagos State Environmental Ambassador, was not alone – as there were also showbiz stars like Dayo Adeneye of Prime Time; Femi Aderibigbe of Nigezie; Actors Guild of Nigeria President, Ibinabo Fiberesima; MD of Ouch, Uche Nnaji, Fred Amata, Ifeanyi Dike, Grace Amah, Moji Oyetayo (Mama Ajasco), among others. The NDLEA Celebrities Drug Free Club is an initiative of The Drug Salvation Foundation headed by Wilson Ighodalo, with absolute support from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency under the leadership of Mr. Ahmadu Giade. The idea, according to Mr. Baba Hussein, the Director, Drug Demand Reduction, NDLEA, is another step in the agency’s drug-free club initiative in schools. “The celebrities will act as role models to the youth population. Given the influence you have on young people, we have no doubt that your involvement in our fight against the menace of drugs in Nigeria will yield positive results”.
