These, no doubt, are not the best of times for controversial businessman and politico, Jimoh Ibrahim.

YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine gathered that the cerebral billionaire who once took a shot at the governorship race of Ondo State just lost his sweet mother.

Mrs. Omofemiwa Ibrahim, unfortunately, died a very, very painful death.

She was alleged to have died in a fire incident at her Victoria Garden City, Lekki, Lagos home. This was on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Though unconfirmed, sources claimed she lit a candle which she forget to extinguish before sleep enveloped and overwhelmed her. Sadly, help took time in coming. Both from neighbours and men of the Lagos State Fire Service.

The septuagenarian, it would be recalled, was initially residing in their homestead of Igbotako, until 8 years ago when she was kidnapped.

After paying a huge ransom for her rescue, her billionaire son relocated her to VGC where he was living then, before later moving to the United Arab Emirates, UAE.

Her remains are currently in the morgue, awaiting the arrival of his son, his two wives and other family members.

Jimoh Ibrahim, a lawyer turned businessman, used to hug the headlines with some of his companies like Global Fleet, Nicon Group, Mirror Newspapers, Air Nigeria and so on. He’s, however, been lying low lately.
