There won’t be any major Democracy Day celebration on May 29, 2019 in Katsina State due to the level of insecurity currently being witnessed in the State. And also coupled the number of people who recently lost their lives to the enemies of progress.
You would recall that the Governor of the State, Aminu Masari, met with President Muhammadu Buhari days back concerning the issue.
Armed, no doubt, with a security report, which obviously isn’t favorable, the Governor and his team have decided to cancel this year’s Democracy Day celebrations – just five days to the D-day. And instead opted for a low-key event.
