Ariya Repete 2019 has been amazing! This year’s edition has had it all – memorable performances, spectacular fails, and awe-inspiring singing talents. The first phase of the competition recently concluded with the selection parties in Osogbo and Ilorin. However, all indication suggests that this may just be the tip of the iceberg (or Goldberg, if you will..)
With so many exciting activities lined up for the next month of the competition, now is a good time to look ahead on what to expect in the next phase of Ariya Repete 2019.
All 24 quarterfinalists of Ariya Repete 2019 are set to embark on a week-long mentorship session with some of Nigerian music’s elite. Expect your favorite Juju, Fuji and Afro-pop artists to drop by and offer some tips and motivation to the Ariya Repete hopefuls. It will be interesting to see how the contestants take these tips and apply them to their craft going forward.
The remaining three concerts (Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final) of Ariya Repete 2019 is set to up the ante, as A-list artists will headline these shows. Goldberg Lager is keeping its cards close to its chest for this one, but names such as Olamide, Zlatan, Mayorkun, Kizz Daniel and many others are rumoured to likely grace the stage.
Accompanying the stars who will set the stage on fire, will be our very own Ariya Repete contestants. However, as opposed to the selection parties, the contestants will now get the chance to rehearse for a full week before each performance. This is sure to translate to even more awesome performances, as you can expect to hear a more refined sound from the contestants.
