There’s something sweet about life when complex or stressful things are made easy. Do you still recharge your phones by inputting digits from a recharge card? Come off it! Things have been made easier with digital. It’s 2020 and MTN has turned up its Virtual Top Up (VTU) service to Topit.

Over the years, MTN Nigeria has proven to be the number one telecommunications in the country, not only in terms of the strength of its subscriber base but also in its attention to the needs of its customers and trade partners.

VTU or Topit, what’s the difference? So, here’s how it works. MTN Topit is a holistic electronic recharge platform that allows subscribers to buy airtime using their bank account, bank mobile apps, ATMs, MTN app, the MTN website, and other electronic recharge channels.

Another interesting feature of Topit is the ability to reset one’s data; a situation that allows subscribers to top-up their data immediately it finishes. If you’ve ever run out of data while downloading a file then you’ll appreciate this.

Even more interesting is that it is as easy as 456 to be a retailer with Topit. In fact, everyone can be a retailer. Just dial *456# and follow the commands. No printing of cards required. All that is needed is a working mobile phone.

While announcing the name change at an exclusive media event in Lagos, Chief Sales and Distribution Officer, MTN Nigeria, Kunle Adebiyi, revealed that while coming up with an appropriate change of name, the company had the option of other lengthy and equally techy names like the Virtual Top-Up, but instead went for Topit which captures the ease of use and convenience.
As a technology company, MTN understands that life can be made easier with digital. This is another testament of MTN’s Turn It Up campaign.
