Star actress, Victoria Inyama, is literally begging her husband, Godwin Okri, for a divorce. And the simple reason, according to YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine findings, is that things have fallen apart between them!
The Arochukwu, Abia State-born actress who relocated to the United Kingdom soon after their traditional marriage blurted this angrily on her FB concerning their troubled marriage: “The bondage is sickening and all his legal antics. They say the law is fair but not when he manipulates it like he does.
“He has a live -in- lover and still won’t divorce me! He assaulted me yesterday and for the first time, I called in the police for him.”
Born Nkiruka Victoria Inyama, she read Creative Arts at the University of Lagos. Her first movie role ever was in Glamour Boys (produced by Jetta Amata in 1995). Her acting career, however, began in 1994 with a role in Zeb Ejiro’s Ripples – courtesy Zik Zulu Okafor.
A fun lover and kind soul, her other works include Back To Life, The Child, Eye Witness, Faces, Holy Crime, Festival of Fire, Sunset in Africa, Abandon, Silent Night and The Cross. The now estranged couple met in 2003 during the AfroHollywood Awards (organized by Mike Abiola) and eventually got wedded at the New Wine Church, in Woolwich, London.
The husband is a London-based solicitor and hails from Delta State. He’s also said to be related to renowned author, Ben Okri.
Vicky, as friends call, attended Onward Nursery and Primary School and Community High School, both in Surulere, Lagos before graduating from UNILAG in 2002.
