We told you in our last edition that actor, producer and businessman, Lawrence Onuzuluike, has finally been hooked. Here’s an update – how he met and fell in love with his bride. Enjoy…
When and how did you meet her?
We met through a mutual friend, Chidi Emmanuel, an ex Super Eagles player who now lives in Ghana. We talked on phone for almost a year before we finally met in person. We met in May and got married in August.
Why did you choose her out of so many others?
Because the moment I saw her, I knew she is my wife. She’s very intelligent and mature. She doesn’t have time for petty things. She is God fearing, educated and very beautiful. Not to mention that she’s very loving and caring. She’s also fiercely independent.
How did you propose to her?
There was no special fanfare. I was honest about what I wanted from her. I told her I’m not interested in dating, that I just wanted to get married. And after a few days, I proposed and you have seen the beautiful ending.
What pet name do you call her?
Even though she’s half Tiv, half Igala, I’ve since given her an Igbo name. Her new name is Asa nma (Beauty). Asa nma of the highest order. I have many other nicknames for her, but I won’t be saying those on the papers because they’re quite intimate and a bit naughty.
Tell us a little about your bride.
Her name was Patience Yisa, but now Patience Asanma Yisa-Onuzulike. She was born and bred in Makurdi (Benue State). A Chemistry graduate of Benue State University. She’s currently serving with the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.
We heard she’s a beauty queen?
Yes, she is and she’ll be my queen forever. She was the former Miss GLO Rock and Rule, and the former Miss Culture and Tourism, Benue State. She’s a model.
Would you like her to become an actress?
Definitely! In fact, I’m already working on a new movie where she’ll play a prominent role. She has more than what it takes to be a top actress.
