The Special Fraud Unit, Nigeria Police, on Friday, February 10, 2016, arraigned notorious filmmaker and actress Toyin Aimakhu’s ex, Seun Egbegbe alongside one Oyekan Ayomide for alleged serial fraud.
Egbegbe and Ayomide who were brought to the court in handcuffs were arrested and detained days back after their attempt to defraud some Bureau de Change operators of about $9000 and £3000 ran into a ditch.
Interestingly, only days before, Egbegbe had been arrested at the Computer Village, in Ikeja, Lagos while attempting to allegedly steal some phones. Bruised and humiliated, it took the timely intervention of police men from Area F to rescue him from being lynched.
Slammed with 36 counts bordering on fraud, theft et al, Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo whom they appeared before at the Federal High Court, Lagos ordered that they be remanded in prison custody till Friday, March 24, 2017 when the matter will come up again. And of course for the commencement of trial.
