YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine gathered that the Alaafin of Oyo died on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Aged 83, he had been ill for sometime and sat on the throne of his forefathers for 52 years.
An exercise freak and boxer, his remains were immediately brought back to Oyo, and currently awaiting burial.
Neither his family nor the Oyo State government had issued any official statement at the time of writing this.
