Former Information Minister, Chief Alex Akinyele, is dead.
Details of how and when the colourful Ondo Chief died are still sketchy.
However, Aliu Mohammed, one of his closest younger friends took to his Facebook minutes ago to write this: “The exit of a Great and patriotic Nigerian:
“Sir, Chief Alexander Opeyemi Akinyele. Former Minister of Information, Former Chairman National Reconciliation Commission, Former Chairman, National Sports Commission. The Lisa Jigan and Lobosin of Ondo Kingdom. A super orator, my mentor and friend for all seasons, Great “Aleco”, may your great soul rest in perfect peace. You will be sorely missed. Adieu Bai”.
