On my way home, early hours of this morning about 2.30am.Please dont ask me where am coming from just focus on my story….Lol
Unfortunately for me i had a flat tyer and to make it worse my Jack was faulty.
I manage to drive to the newly constructed Ajah flyover which was well litted ,So i felt a bit safe since the bridge was well litted -Thanks to Mr Governor for constructing the bridge (Point 1)
Under the bridge there was this RRS patrol APC(Armored Personnel Carrier). So i felt even safer knowing there was a police presence around me .(Point 2).
The One that blew me off was when i called 767 and requested for LASEMA assistance .The operator though in a sleepy voice (Do you blame her, body no be firewood)told me she will send someone to me ASAP. In my mind i thought she just discharged me and probably continue her nap.
But i was wrong she actually called me to let me know the ETA of the patrol.
At exactly 30mins after my call….behold 5 LASEMA guys showed up,2 motor bike and a tow truck. They were so courteous and professional ,i can only compare their service to RAC or AA rescuse in UK.They observe every road safety you can think of dropping cones and flashing light every corner of the road.
In nutshell…they used their industrial jack to help me out. I was not sure how the process worked so i asked for the cost of the service. The man laughter and said its free….Na tax payers money.
My heart sank and i could only just say something …..God bless Ambode for this initiative.
I just hope and pray that this agency keep up this great work.
