Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has mourned the death of the former Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State, Senator Babatunde Osholake.
Amosun, who joined the Osholake family, politicians and sympathisers to witness the burial of the deceased, at his Ibara Housing Estate residence in Abeokuta, yesterday, said he played a prominent role to entrench democracy in the country.
He said the late politician, who died at the age of 67, shortly after attending a political function in Lagos on Saturday, distinguished himself as a politician of purpose, till death.
Noting that the late Osholake, who represented Ogun Central in the Senate, joined politics, long before him, the governor urged politicians to emulate his style of politics, adding that they should serve, knowing that one day, they will account for their actions.
He advised that Nigerians should live their lives in accordance with the tenants of their religion and be mindful of the legacies they leave behind after death.
