Former Senate President and one of Nigeria’s longest serving Senators, David Bonaventure Mark, has been sacked from the senate. An Appeal Court sitting in Makurdi, the Benue State capital today nullified his election as the Senator representing the people of Benue South.
This was pursuant to a case filed by APC’s Daniel Onjeh challenging the election of the PDP top shot who has been in the senate now for five terms and before embracing politics had served as a Military Governor and Minister of Communications.
Another election will hold in 90 days to resolve who represents Benue South in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.
