With all of these in store, it’s no surprise this year’s competition has been so keenly contested with some breathtaking performances.
This Is The 7th Edition
Contrary to popular opinion, Ariya Repete is not a “new” show. The competition is now in its 7th year, and the showpiece has produced various top talents who have gone on to have considerable success in the music industry.
Initially conceived as a platform for Fuji artistes, the competition has quickly evolved to become a fully-fledged contest featuring other indigenous music categories. Speaking of categories….
There Are 3 Awesome Categories.
Though the show may have started as a platform for budding Fuji talents, Ariya Repete now features Juju and the recently added Yoruba Hip-hop category. This new category has added another level of excitement to the show and has made this 7th edition one of the most anticipated.
It’s Set To Feature Some Heavy Hitters.
Goldberg Lager is home to some elite personalities in the Nigerian entertainment scene. These include the likes of actor and meme king, Odunlade Adekola, as well as Yoruba hip-hop star, Olamide. Both stars are set to play a part in this year’s edition, while the team of Judges who will vet the talents includes the likes of Puffy Tee, ID Cabassa, as well as Fuji veterans Sk Sensation, and Dele Taiwo. The Juju genre is also ably represented by Champion Opio, as well other renowned acts in the indigenous music scene.

The 2019 edition of Ariya Rrepete will be the first to be aired on terrestrial and cable TV stations across Africa. So you can catch episodes of Ariya Repete from the 12th of July 2019. All the thrills, spills and breathtaking performances will be coming to your TV screens, and fans are already eagerly anticipating the pilot episode which will air in a few weeks.
Auditions are Happening Across 8 Cities
In typical Ariya Repete fashion, auditions are being held across various southwestern states, including Lagos, Ibadan, Ota, Abeokuta, Akure, Ilorin, and Oshogbo. Audition dates are as follows.
Lagos – 10th of June
Ota & Abeokuta – 19th of June
Ibadan & Akure -26th of June
Oshogbo & Ilorin – 3rd of July
