The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has taken over again the reins of government in Bauchi State – and this is authoritative. Their candidate, Bala Mohammed, won the supplementary election held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in the State. Thus, ending the reign of APC’s Muhammed Abubakar.
The Returning Officer (RO), Professor Kyari Mohammed, confirmed this on Sunday, March 24.
According to him, the PDP candidate polled a total of 6,376 while the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammed Abubakar, who is the incumbent governor, polled 5,117.
YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine reliably gathered that the outgoing Governor disappointed a lot Bauchi people with his poor performance. Which explains why they turned their back on him.
The incoming Governor also, Bala Mohammed, didn’t fair any better either, during his tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. An Abuja resident whom we spoke to described his tenure as ‘a disaster!’
