Okoye brothers – Jude, Peter and Paul – have denied deserting their Omole Phase 1, Ikeja, Lagos home over their alleged differences. YES INTERNATIONAL! had visited the house on Lola Holloway Street on Friday, April 25, 2014 around 12pm but met none of them at home. An aide whom we confronted and who identified himself simply as Emmanuel told us that they no longer reside there. But when contacted on Saturday, April 26, their media manager, Bayo Adetu, maintained that it’s not true that they’ve quit the property. “They are still in Omole. They shuttle between Omole and Lekki. Peter and Paul’s wives are in Lekki. But all of them will move to Parkview when the new house is completed and that will be before the end of the year. But their studio is still in Omole and they always come there for rehearsals”. On the current state of their disagreement, he said: “They never had any problem per se. There was only an argument between Peter and Jude, which is normal among brothers and it was resolved immediately. So, I don’t know where all these stories are coming from. But the truth is that there is no problem”. On Jude’s controversial tweet which allegedly triggered the whole thing and also made the disagreement public, he said: “He wasn’t referring to P-Square. People just misconstrued it…Their wives, Lola and Anita, have never lived in Omole. They stay in Lekki, in a rented place – Lola on one side and Anita on the other side”. Tracing the genesis of the popular showbiz brothers’ disagreement, sources claimed that Peter couldn’t comprehend why his family has refused to accept his wife and also accord her the respect she deserves. But the brothers, on their part, have maintained that their late mother disapproved of Lola and her romance with Peter and now that she is no more, they won’t go against her wish. The promotion of Paul’s songs more than those of his twin brother, Peter was also mentioned, with the latter alleging that Jude wants to reduce him to only a dancer in the band, instead of the musician that he is. Expectedly, no sooner did the news of their disagreement filter out than fans and colleagues start crying and begging them not to allow the devil to come between them. One of them told us this: “Abeg, nothing must happen to P-Square. We love them and want them to remain as one and not two or even three like Plantashun Boiz. Please, help us to get this message across to them. They must not part ways. Never! Never!”
