What a cheering news! Margaret, wife of CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, kidnapped along Agbor-Benin road on Thursday, September 29, 2016 has been rescued.
Though details of how the woman who was kidnapped alongside her driver and three other women while journeying to their hometown in Delta State got rescued are still sketchy, YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine gathered that they tasted the sweet air of freedom around 12.30am.
Said to be in Asaba, the Delta State capital currently, her abductors had demanded for N1.5 billion ransom. Which we don’t know whether it was paid or not before she was released.
Nigeria’s security apparatchiks had been ignited immediately the news of her kidnap broke. And barely 48 hours later, she was rescued.
It would be recalled that in the same Delta State, and and not too far from where this one also happened, former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s mother was also kidnapped – but later released.
