Broadcast journalist, Cally Ikpe, famous for his passion for the music video industry, and lately peace advocacy, has just bagged a doctoral degree in media and communications. Dr. Ikpe who is CEO of the annual Nigeria Music and Video Awards researched on the raging violence in Nigeria. His thesis topic is, Mass Media Reportage and the Politics of Violence in Benue and Zamfara States, Nigeria.
“This study”, according to him, “is only consistent with my current advocacy project; something that had always reflected on the themes of previous Nigeria Music Video Awards.”
Adding that, “This feat only challenges me to do much more as it concerns mitigating the challenge of insecurity through gauging views across all demographies.”
The convocation held at the lush Lagos Business School of the Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, days back, with friends and family on ground to rejoice with him.
