To douse the tension in Oyo State, and also to ensure a peaceful resolution of the crisis currently rocking the Pacesetter State, former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has advised governor Seyi Makinde against arresting Sunday Igboho, one of the major actors.
According to Fayose, “Gov. Seyi Makinde should rather use dialogue and persuasion instead of escalating tension in his own State by calling for the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo.
“If FG and some Governors could ‘dialogue’ with Boko Haram terrorists, Gov. Makinde calling all stakeholders to a round-table discussion will not be misplaced action.
“Any attempt to arrest anyone will cause serious threat to the fragile peace in the West and the nation. Above all any unchecked escalation may lead to a state of emergency.”
