The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye, has warned youths in the church to stop marrying from outside. This warning, YES International! gathered,  was as a result of frequent marriage break-ups being experienced by members of the church.

Daddy G.O, as he is fondly called, gave the warning at the just concluded Redeemed Church Youth Conference which held between October 1 and 6, 2012 at the Redemption Camp, KM 46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Mowe, Ogun State. According to the revered man of God: “Don’t many outside this church unless you are blind! We have a lot of good girls in this church, because if trouble comes later, which I don’t pray for, we can easily call the family to order. But, God help you if you marry a lady with another G.O”.

Pastor Adeboye also added: “For ladies in the church and all those who can hear me, don’t marry a man who has no job! God gave Adam a job before he gave Eve to him. If a man tells you he is a contractor, please ask for all evidences and proofs”.

This last warning and advice, according to our sources at the 6-day conference, saw the youths laughing uncontrollably. Daddy G.O’s preaching at the annual convention was dubbed “Unstoppable Generations”.

Youths in church were also enjoined to be holy and keep themselves pure till marriage, as this is the only way to enjoy a peaceful and lasting marriage devoid of troubles and separation.

Adeboye’s aide, Pastor Olakunmi had this to say about what transpired at the conference when contacted on Friday, October 12, 2012: “I’m not aware of that really because, the conference was meant for the youth members of the church and I believe if we talk about the youths, most times they are those that are yet to get married. But, I promise I will ask one or two people that I know attended the conference and get back to you”.
